Mary Carlisle Meadors Memorial Scholarship |

The Baton Rouge Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. awards the annual Mary Carlisle Meadors Memorial Scholarship to a female high school graduate who meets the qualifications set forth by the Scholarship Committee. The recipient must be a student attending Southern University Laboratory School, East Baton Rouge Parish public schools, including the Baker, Central and Zachary school districts. The student must attend Southern University-Baton Rouge campus on a full-time basis. Click here for more information.

The Educational Development Committee will begin LEAP tutoring sessions for fourth-grade students on Saturday, January 23, 2010. The sessions will be conducted at the Life Development Center, January 23 – March 20, 2010, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (No session will be held on February 13, 2010.) The Chapter has conducted these tutoring sessions as a community service for the past ten years. Please share the attached letter and registration form with family and friends who are parents of fourth-grade students. Transportation is not provided, but the sessions and materials are free to all participants.
